Through the eyes of a stranger by Rebecca Suchi

Jackie was dreading going out based on previous experience. This was the worst time of the day to venture going out. She had run out of options and this was something that needed to be done now. She dressed accordingly; a light top and pants, and snickers. She picked up her sun hat, dark glasses, a bottle of drinking water and keys and headed for the door. She went down the staircase mentally preparing herself for the onslaught that will meet her when she opened the door. Just before opening the main door to confront the outside world, she paused, pulled her hat lower and put on her dark glasses. She felt like a celebrity who was trying to avoid the paparazzi, which made her smile slightly. She took in a deep breath and opened the door.
