Amelia swept through the doorway, blinking as the bright February sun dazzled her. She glanced behind her, satisfied herself that Alfred was following, and then strode towards the small kissing gate at the side of the church. It was the perfect location, in full view of anyone who might care to look, but far enough away that no one could eavesdrop.
