Sharp and Sheer Terror by Irene Cornwell

I was actually quite content and feeling grateful on a Spring morning in 1968, until the hulking male suddening appeared within my sight line.
He was a few feet away from me. His eyes had a psychotic gleam and a keen focus upon my form.
For some absurd reason my mind flashed back to a previous day when a man had lurched toward me from behind a closed gas station as I made my way to a university class  early one morning.
