Hanging by a thread by Riham Gharib

Prompt: A new life | Word count:1000 words | Genre: Romantic drama
Endings and beginnings are seared in our souls, the former with fire, and the latter with light. Whatever the events or details leading up to them, or unfolding as a result of them, are all irrelevant, and unmemorable.
And so, when we try to erase the sting of a loss, we hit a brick wall. The loss is all we can think of. When we try to find logic in a rejection, we hit another brick wall. And we would keep injuring ourselves against the cold and pointless brick. The joyful moments are even worse. The things that took our breath away, we no longer have, and can no longer breathe without.
