Betrayal on the Double by Thomas Mullane

Sometimes things simply don’t work out the way they should. Just the other day I was asked to undertake a simple task but there was something that I needed to complete the job. As neither I nor any of my friends had one, I was forced to seek out the dreaded item elsewhere. Although the looks I received from any of my friends when I asked, left me feeling that I might be wiser to keep my search to myself. Going through my contacts was also risky, if the word got out, I could be in big trouble before I could do anything. I was beginning to regret being involved in this at all.
