WARNING-
The little girl stood in the middle of her bedroom waiting for us.
“Here we go again.” I thought. “ Another small victim.” There were so many, too many.
“Can I do this again? Can I handle any more stories?” These thoughts ran through my mind.
I knew the end result, I knew that this child would move on,wiped of all the turmoil, hurt, and abuse. It was I, who would never forget.
“Are you ready?” My assistant, Sal whispered.
“I guess.” I murmured.
“Hey honey, I guess its time,” I said to the child
She looked at me, shyly, the dark circles under her eyes deeper than when we had our first meeting.
