A hand snaked out from under the covers and quickly switched off the screeching alarm sound. The room went quiet. “Mmm, I don’t want to wake up,” murmured Jasmine. She debated the pros and cons of not waking up and calling in sick as she pulled the covers closer and buried herself in the bed.
