15. Wheeler’s Deal by SM Prasad

Agent Wheeler yawned and took a sip of his coffee that had grown cold hours ago. The coffee canister was empty, and the next shipment wasn’t until next week. Of course, he could stretch his legs and go down to the deli on the main floor, but the elevators in this creaky, yellowed municipal building took forever on the way up and the squeaking cables didn’t inspire confidence.
