This whole scene (or couple of scenes) really requires much greater knitting into the fabric of the story so it doesn't come as such a surprise. Including a scene with Lucy finding and reading Catherine's article in the Victorian State Library as its quite archaic but of its time. Hmmm sorry - bit rough but has been interesting finding my way to this bit. Thanks for bearing with me.
